The National Football League got underway in 1920 when it was known as the American Professional Football Association and began with 11 teams. Despite only 4 teams being able to finish the season the league kept going and continued to expand and contract wildly over that first decade. In 1922, the APFA was re-named as the National Football League.
Only a few franchises from those early seasons still exist today, the Chicago (now Arizona) Cardinals and Decatur Staleys (now Chicago Bears) were both teams in that inaugural season, the Green Bay Packers joined the APFA for their sophmore season in 1921. The New York Giants are the only other current-day franchise to particiate in that first decade, joining in 1925.
In 1966 the NFL announced they had reached a merger deal with the competing American Football League which would also establish a single “World’s Championship Game” which would later officially be known as the Super Bowl. In 1970, the NFL and AFL completed their merger with the AFL teams forming the new American Football Conference and the existing NFL teams going to the National Football Conference.

The legging are stylish, comfortable, with the right amount of stretch. Unlike other leggings I’ve owned, it stays up all day even when you are being active. I’ve owned leggings in the past that creep down as the day wore on. The design also was pretty cool, understated navy spandex with a little shine and white and gold stripes on the side – doesn’t look like your typical sports team apparel. It’s always pleasant plus when my legs appear longer with these leggings on!

These are my favorite pair of leggings. I have several of the black, one of the burnt orange, and the navy. They fit nicely. They stay up, don’t fall down. The material is soft. It doesn’t hold on to dog hair too terribly. I just have to slide my hands on it a couple of times. There is one packet on the inside of the waist band. I honestly love that so my more than on the side. I recommend these to everyone. I’ve done almost everything in them. The are durable and last a long time.

These leggings are so buttery soft and flattering! They are the only leggings I will buy now. The best align dupe! I noticed after a while they start to pill in the thigh but I have worn and washed these so many times before that started to happen. They are true to size. They hit at the prefect length.

I ordered these leggings in 2021 and LOVED them! So much so I ordered another three pair. Since then (now 2025), after constant wear, the ones that are four years old are starting to get worn, so here I am, ordering four more as a late Christmas gift to myself. These leggings are 100% Lulu quality at a fraction of the cost. They are so so soft, the material isn’t sheer at all, the criss cross band keep you looking snatched, and overall these are the best leggings I’ve ever found! If you’re going to buy any legging off fitness, I would 100% recommend these.
